Fathers Day Fun/ Finding Insects
F is for... Feelings & Fathers
1. Use these finger puppets with the story and introduction of "F" to teach about feelings.


Let's Go fishing
2. Fish for things that begin with an "Ff".
Cut out "F" and "f" and laminate
cut out the fish and laminate
(attach a flat sticky magnet to the back of the fish and to the hook)
Fish and name the "f" pictures.


3. Teach the number five by counting with the number fan of numbers. Let a tot choose the number f-f- 5 on the fan.

Cut out the to number strips. Paper punch a hole at the bottom of each number strip. Place the number strips in order and then press a fastener or brad through to bind them all in order. Fan it out. 





Cut out ahead 5 flowers
  1. Have a bucket or container of pom poms (You can get these at the dollar story)
  2. You will need sticky dot color labels
  3. a pair of tongs
  4. Have a tot pick a color label and name it. He will place the center color dot in the middle of the flower. Count the flowers. There are also 5 petals on each flower.
  5.  Choose a tot to fill the matching flower with pom poms using the tongs. (This is great for developing the fine motor skills and they love it) The tot must put the pom pom in order from 1-5



4.Teach the tots about fire safety.

What is the color of a fire engine? (red)

5. Draw 4 lines to make a square.



Father's Day Story



 

 

 


 
Snack: gold fish (count five)

Music: "1-2-3-4-5 Now I Caught a Fish Alive", "Five Little Speckled Frogs" 
Do this mini 4 page "f" book. (cut into 4 and staple)

Take Home Project:
Empty a water bottle. Place a plastic bug inside. Let the tot's decorate with stickers. Find some bugs.






Go on a field trip to a fire station.
